Jesse Fox's Road Bike

I just finished building my bike (I took the steel brazed framebuilding course in September '06). The first ride was fantastic!

I built it for myself, and it will be the bike I ride every day, to work and back, and for running errands and things. It's got pretty standard road geometry with a healthy BB drop and longer chainstays. Also, I built it around long-reach calipers, so I can run fenders and 28c tires. The result is a smooth, stable ride, but it's not too sluggish, either. Frame size is 58cm, top tube is also 58cm, and angles are 73 degrees. Total weight, as pictured, is 22 pounds even (not bad!). When riding, it's smooth as silk, and I feel like I can ride no-hands for years. The finish is a powder coat, and it's got some sparkles (maybe you can see them a bit in the second photo). Overall, I'm really, really happy with how it turned out. Thanks to Ron, Gary, Anna, and everyone at UBI!
