About Ashland
Ashland is one of the coolest towns you will ever visit. We are home to the world famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Our historic downtown has been preserved and looks much like it did at the turn of the century. The Ashland Plaza has dozens of quaint shops and boutiques and our restaurants are unsurpassed.
The Southern Oregon area is a vacationer's paradise, offering miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, white water rafting, rock climbing, and skiing. Crater Lake and Redwood National Parks, Oregon Caves National Monument, the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and the Klamath Wildlife Refuge are just a drive away. For additional information on happenings in southern Oregon, check out the Rogue Valley Messenger. Also, view a map with UBI's location on it.
Ashland Bicycle Rentals
The following Ashland businesses rent bicycles by the hour or day. They rent on a seasonal basis, from March through Oct. UBI bicycles are used for classroom instruction only and are therefore not available for student transportation.
We encourage you to bring your own bicycle. Southern Oregon has hundreds of miles of rural paved roads and miles of great single track trails. All are within minutes of UBI. Bikes may be shipped to UBI via United Parcel Service for a reasonable fee. Our shipping address is 401 Williamson Way, Ashland, OR 97520. We can also help you ship your bike back home again. Click here for more bike shipping information . You can also receive mail at the Institute as long as your name, c/o United Bicycle Institute, is on the address. Do not submit a post office forwarding order or your mail will be sent back by the postal service.
