Is there any penalty in pedalling efficiency? Cheers! I am test riding a used airborne bike with 105 cranks and noticed the same thing. I find the extra width uncomfortable and it is bothering my knees. Can anyone explain the logic on the curved cranks. It's not to clear the chain stays - straight cranks would clear easily.
