Message: I am building my first bike piece by piece and I am confused by the labels. I have a 9spd cassette and bought a shimano ultegra rear derailleur. The box on the derailleur says 10 speed, but a friend says it doesn't really make a big difference since my shifters are 9spd STIs. Will my Shimano Ultegra rear Derailleur (10 spd) work with my 9spd cassette?
