Message: Yes, it is the old 8 speed chain. I always thought they were the same. I will try a 9 speed chain. As for the derailleur stops, the problem seems to be mostly with the jump from middle to high gear where it wants to push the chain too far out even with the stop adjusted all the way in. I am assuming that the only way to "tweak" the stops is by using the adjusting screws. Is this correct?
