I have a similar problem. The right crank arm on my son's bike needs to be replaced. It is a Shimano FC-MC-11, 170mm. Apparently after some searching I now believe I need to replace both cranks as I can't find just one, and the chainrings, and what the heck, might as well throw in a new bottom bracket. From searching the web I see I can get a UN 52 or a UN 72 bottom bracket at close to reasonable. What kind of cranks should I get to go with them? The existing rear wheel has 7 gears and I think it was Alivio components (freewheel) to start with, but they were replaced. Anyway, what kind of bottom bracket and cranksset should I look for?
