Yes, definitely. It requires the use of a 4.5mm spacer, made by Wheels Mfg. and available from Excel Sports, Third Hand/Loose Screws, and I believe from Colorado Cyclist, and likely others. You can also just stack up enough spacers behind the cogs to equal 4.5mm using common freewheel/bottom bracket spacers. You can also use the first 7 clicks of your 8 speed shifters, if you have them; the cog spacing is close enough to the same that it works no problem.
