I was wondering if you could tell me specifically what grade of alloy steel is cromoly since i need to look up the yield and ultimate strength of cromoly for my school project.(i.e Alloy 4XXX)

: : I don't really understand the advantages of a Cro-Moly frame vs. a steel one. If anybody could help me in answering my question would be great.

: Cro-Moly is a steel alloy. By the addition of chromium, molybdenum and other elements, the material's mechanical properties are enhanced. Cro-Moly has the same weight and modulus (stiffness) as carbon steel, but has higher yield and tensile strength.
