: : I have an aluminum Cannondale road bike in need of some
: : minor paint touching-up. Cannondale suggested I contact
: : "Moutain Bike Paints" for my paint and primer. I was
: : informed that my color, "Viper Red", had been discontinued.

: : Where can I find this color?

: If the paint company can't get it, you could try other Cannondale dealers in your area. Often, dealers will keep a stock of touch up paints. If that doesn't work, ask the paint co what the closest color is. It will probably be close enough that a small area will look ok painted with it.

: : Also, does my aluminum bike require a special type of
: : primer or will standard auto primer from my local
: : hardware store do the trick?

: Again, for minor touch ups, it will be fine. If the paint is somewhat transluscent, be aware that the primer color will affect the overall color of the touch up.
