Message: I have a Manitou SX-e fork and wanted to take it apart both to see how it works and for maintenance. I used the Have the booklet and had no trouble fuguring out the right tube. When I tried to take apart the left tube however, i heard air escaping. I immediately closed it back up thinking that it was a pressurized air fork. In the booklet though it states that it's a TPC system. That should mean that I can take it apart right? Was the air escaping just some trapped air or do I need special equipment to do this?
