The lowest inner chainring I can use with same series 600/Ultegra crankset is 38 and I am hoping for a little more range as it's a commuting set-up. Any suggestions out there for cranksets/rings? I will probably use a front touring shifter if the STI unit won't work...
I know that 105 will work. I just happen to have a used but perfectly OK set of 105 triple brake lever/shifters and derailleurs (just upgraded to 9 speed), for sale cheap if you're interested.
