Campy doesn't make down tube shifters anymore. Bar end shifters should work in mountain bars, and while they might take a while to get used to, should work just fine. >....it's likely to work better if you us a shimano rear drailer with the shimano shifters. Cog spacing between campy and shimano 9 is different but close enough it usually works. Usually is not good enough, why would anyone want to compromise perfection for want of a few extra dollars? Bar ends will not fir imto the ends of MTB bars, the bars are to narrow, find a pair of moustache bars, these will accept bar ends and road brake levers.
