Message: It happens when I stand while climbing. I hear this "clack clack" with every pedal stroke. Interestingly, it used to happen with my previous bike which had vuelta typhon wheels (very crappy) and I thought it was coming from the spokes touching. I use to lube the point where the spokes crossed and touched, and that really didn't solve the problem but I kept doing it. Now, though, I have a Trek 2200 with Bontrager Select tires and the spokes don't cross nor touch. So, where is the sound coming from?? Is it the hub? Friction with the hub and fork? Any help would be appreciated.
