There are a sufficient number of framebuilders who read this forum that you would think someone would have commented on this, already ...

There are some options, but the easiest (IMO) would be to buy a rear assembly for/from a 2001 i-Drive frame.

I looked into the aftermarket bracket (which I am sorry I cannot recall the maker of, off hand) a year or two ago -- it cost about $60, maybe $70 -- SOMEONE will offer the information (or, I'll look it up later). I opted against it.

If you had a steel frame, you could buy new dropouts (somewhere between $20-$30 and have them installed by a frame builder ... or, yourself) ... hence, the probable price point for the add-on brake bracket.

Because the rear assembly on your GT is more-than-likely fabricated from aluminum, you could SIMPLY have "someone" TIG weld some aluminum stock onto your frame, and then drill-and-file it to accommodate a standard brake caliper ... OR, rough-file a piece of stock, FIRST, and then drill it to accommodate the caliper after it is welded in place (don't forget to use a "punch" to center/guide your drill bit).
